A world famous sportswear retailer, approached MS Storage to design and supply a stock room shelving system that had a minimum 70% water permeability to for a new stockroom area at their UK headquarters. Due to the flammable nature of the products stored and the potential toxic gases that could be omitted should a fire break out, the clients Insurers insisted the new shelving system must be at least 70% water permeable for it to be installed into the new stock room.

MS Storage set about designing a unique static steel shelving system which went over and above the client’s specification and fully complied with the insurers requirements. Over 1300 bays of static shelving, providing 33,450 individual stock locations was successfully designed and installed over a 3 week period to a strict timetable to meet the opening date of the new facility.

The shelving whilst allowing the 70% permeability had to still retain its strength and flexibility and overall durability. The shelving system can be made in any sizes to suit any stock items or areas and is easily adjustable, available as static shelving or can be supplied on high density mobile bases.

MS Storage first installed lockers to Selfridges, Oxford Street back in 1997 when we initially provided staff lockers in the sub level basement area. Over ten years later the store was going through a major refurbishment program and our services were called upon once again.

After initial consultation with architects and contractors, a final layout was agreed upon that provided a modern, easy to use changing facility that provided over 4000 user compartments.

Due to location and live site status our operatives had to work to strict site conditions, within a controlled time scale. All lockers were delivered on time and within budget, much to the client’s satisfaction.

MS Storage was invited to design and layout a new warehouse and distribution pallet racking system for DPS Tableware. The project involved providing pallet racking with ancillary safety barriers and column guards to provide the client with a minimum 0f 2,000 pallet spaces or SKU’s.

Following detailed site surveys and consultation with warehouse management and staff, MS Storage provided a design incorporating 6m high pallet racking carefully laid out to provide adequate aisle spacing for the handling equipment and the flow of materials throughout the warehouse space. Once approved MS Storage installed the system over a 2 week period and the £ 100,000 project was delivered on time and on budget to the client’s complete satisfaction

James Hall & Co brought MS Storage on board to help with the staff changing room requirements at their new, £40 million purpose built Head Quarters and Distribution depot. Working alongside both the client and the contractor, we helped create a number of changing areas, providing lockers and cloakroom benching.

With over 400,000 sq ft, this new build project presented the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our skills in creating modern looking, workable, changing rooms – using a range locker styles and colours to compliment the overall look of the new building.

Working closely with the client we were able to install the lockers and cloakroom furniture over a phased schedule. Delays on site meant that MS Storage had to be flexible on delivery and installation dates.

After a long and detailed consultation period, MS Storage was selected to provide Cadbury with staff lockers for their production plant at Bourneville Lane, Birmingham.

Working within a food preparation facility, certain protocols and requirements were required of us to ensure that Cadbury provided safe, secure and appropriate storage to its entire staff. Numerous layouts and designs were discussed in order for us to provide maximum storage capacity within the constraints of a work place that operates under hygienic conditions.

Cadbury required over 2700 storage lockers to be split into Clean and Dirty areas of the production plant. These lockers needed to have a digital multi-user locking facility to accommodate large volumes of shift workers coming from both the ‘clean / production side of the factory and the ‘dirty’ / worn work wear areas of the factory
